Committees

The Milton Artists' Guild is comprised of 10+ committees staffed by volunteers and members that keep the guild running smoothly. A full list of the committees, including their charters, chairs, and upcoming meetings, can be viewed below.

Art Review Committee

The Committee is responsible for reviewing the artwork of potential exhibiting artists who wish to sell their work in the MAG Gallery. Its purpose is to ensure that all exhibited artwork maintains a consistent standard of quality and presentation, while celebrating a wide range of artistic voices, media, and perspectives.

Artist Engagement Committee

The Artist Engagement Committee supports the mission of the Milton Artists’ Guild (MAG) by fostering a connected, inclusive, and engaged artist community. This includes responsibilities such as organizing social hours, writing out birthday cards to artists, and promoting a general sense of unity between members.

Communications Committee

The Communication Committee is responsible for managing MAG's public relations and marketing efforts. This includes creating promotional materials, managing social media accounts, and maintaining the guild’s website.

Community Outreach Committee

The purpose of this committee is to increase MAG’s visibility, accessibility, and impact through partnerships, public engagement, and outreach initiatives that align with MAG’s nonprofit mission. This includes responsibilities such as collaborating with schools, local community organizations, and local businesses, coordinating volunteers, and initiating contact with other organizations for the purpose of collaboration.

Exhibits Committee

The objective of this committee is to oversee all aspects of Milton Artists’ Guild’s (MAG) external exhibits, ensuring that artists have opportunities to showcase their work in strategic locations throughout the community. The committee is responsible for securing exhibit spaces, coordinating participating artists, managing installation and takedown, and building partnerships to expand exhibition opportunities.

Finance Committee

The objective of this Finance committee is to assist the Milton Artists’ Guild by providing financial oversight, recommending modifications and additions to the Financial Policies, reviewing content of Financial Statements and Reports, and recommending financial investments as appropriate.

Fundraising Committee

The Fundraising Committee is responsible for working with the Gallery Director to develop and implement strategies to generate financial support for the Milton Artists’ Guild (MAG). The committee will work in partnership with the Events Committee to identify opportunities, organize fundraising initiatives, and engage the community to ensure the financial sustainability of MAG. All fundraising efforts will align with MAG’s values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Gallery Support Committee

The Gallery Support Committee supports the mission and daily operations of the Milton Artist Guild (MAG) by assisting with the care, presentation, and functionality of the gallery space. This includes responsibilities such as cleaning the gallery, working the register, and setting up for events within the gallery.
