Junk Journals - Closures and Bindings

Create your own unique junk journal while learning creative binding and closure techniques! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore simple stitched bindings and fun closure ideas like ribbons, buttons, and elastics using repurposed materials. Returning students: bring your journal to continue building! New students are welcome - start and create your own journal in class.

Perfect for all skill levels, this relaxed class encourages creativity and experimentation. You’ll leave with new skills and a handmade journal to keep or gift.

No experience necessary. All supplies provided. This workshop is recommended for people ages 18+.

About Theresa:

Theresa Rowe is a mixed media artist based in S. Burlington, VT. She primarily works with paper products and has a special interest in vintage styles. Theresa uses techniques such as stamping, transfers, die cuts, paint inlays, and mixed media. She began participating in craft shows 25 years ago and currently does approximately 16 shows per year. With over 10 years of experience in floral design, she was inspired to create her intricate wrapped "Blind Date With A Book" products after attending the Autumn Splendor Craft Retreat in 2023.
